Dear Member,

With the lovely, if rather changeable, summer slowly coming to an end and the days getting shorter, we hope to see a good number of you at some or all of the meetings we have arranged for you during the coming weeks.

Please note that there are several different venues and starting times on this programme, so do check that you have the correct place and time before the meeting.

It’s an easy walk along to the Restaurant Capriccio, where we can get some refreshment before heading back to Biel. Take what may be the last chance of an outdoor meeting.

NEW ZEALAND
An audio-visual presentation given by Anne-Marie Koelliker and Roberto Saibene


Anne-Marie and Roberto will give us a glimpse of the "Land of the long white cloud", as the Maori people called these islands when they arrived 3’000 years ago.
From high mountain peaks to dense jungle, pure lakes and rivers and unique wildlife to cities such as Wellington, Christchurch and Auckland, there is more than enough material for beautiful pictures and fascinating information.

An illustrated talk by Marcel Pointet


15 years after his first visit to the island (you may remember his talk), Marcel has again been to Cuba, this time post-Fidel. He found that not much has changed.
