About the English Club Biel/Bienne

The English Club Biel/Bienne is one of the oldest clubs of its type in Switzerland (100 years in 2008), and one of the founder clubs of the Federation of Anglo-Swiss Clubs (FASC).

At present the club has approx. 50 active and 30 passive members and welcomes anyone , irrespective of nationality or religion, who would like to join in the activities of this English-speaking Club.

The English Club meets weekly on Wednesday evenings at 19.45 (with very few exceptions). The place of meeting is the Restaurant Romand, Parkweg 10, 2502 Biel. The Club’s activities include talks, discussions, game/quiz evenings, bowling, minigolf, barbecues and other eating evenings, as well as visits to various places of interest. There are also several inter-club meetings throughout the year which gives the opportunity to get together with members of similar clubs in other Swiss towns.

The English Club Biel/Bienne is run by a committee which does its best to present an attractive and varied weekly programme.

So if you live in the "Seeland" region, why don't you come along and see for yourself? You can be sure of a warm welcome.
